Gospel: Luke 15:1-10
Friends, in todays Gospel Jesus speaks of parables. It is all about joy and forgiveness. God rejoices over a sinner who repents. He rejoices like having a newly born baby! He calls everyone, announces it’s coming back and prepare a great banquet. He welcomes the sinner, loved him/her and even restore again his/her dignity as son/daughter of God.
This is how God welcomes everyone of us. This is how God is treating us sinners. This is how God loved us so much. He is Mercy and He shows us His real face – ‘the face of Mercy.’ May we always recognize Him, lived in His ways and share His love and graces towards our brothers and sisters particularly those who need most of our help; the least, the lost, the abandoned, the rejected, the poorest of the poor in our society. As we are welcomed by God, we must do likewise to our brethren.
Prayer
Abba, thank You for showing us Your face. May we always imitate Your Son, our Lord JEsus Christ, so that we may able to follow and fulfill Your plans in our lives. Grant this through our Lord JEsus Christ Your SOn who lives with You in unity of the Holy SPirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
He lavished His love and mercy on us, how can we but not do the same? What Good News we have to share with fellow sinners!
